The Colosseum is the most famous symbol of Rome. An imposing construction that, with almost 2,000 years of history, will take you back in time to discover the way of life in the Roman Empire.

The construction of the Colosseum began in the year 72 under the empire of Vespasian and was finished in the year 80 during the rule of the emperor Titus. After completion, the Colosseum became the greatest Roman amphitheater, measuring 188 meters in length, 156 meters in width, and 57 meters in height. At present, the Colosseum is, along with Vatican City, Rome’s greatest tourist attraction. Each year 6 million tourists visit and in 2007, the Colosseum became one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.

Following your visit to the Coliseum, you’ll continue to the Arch of Constantine, the Forum, the Senate House, and the Campidoglio. A true tour of Roman history!

Important Notes

Comfortable shoes are recommended. The tour involves a lot of walking on uneven paths and steps.
Take the minimum personal belongings.
Activity will take place regardless of weather, please bring the appropriate attire.
For security reasons, medium and large bags, shoppers, backpacks, big umbrellas and baggage cannot be brought into the museum. Only small fanny packs and purse are allowed to enter.
Please make sure to arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to tour departure, to finalize your registration for the tour.
