Behind Closed Doors: Tour of Princess Isabelle’s Private Apartment

155,00

In one of the grandest palaces of the world, there is a gallery just as marvellous as the great halls of Versailles. Palazzo Colonna is one of the oldest and largest private palaces of Rome. Its construction began in the fourteenth century by the Colonna family, who still reside there after eight centuries. The Colonna family can trace their history back to the twelfth century, coming from the town of Colonna, outside Rome, from which it takes its name. The current Colonna Princess preserves the apartment formerly used by Princess Isabelle exactly as it was when she was still alive – you can find the same warm atmosphere, attention to detail and care to keep the family photos where they were originally placed, next to the famous collection of thirty-seven views of Vanvitelli.
