The Capitoline Museums
125,00€
Located on the hill of the same name, the Musei Capitolini is a museum complex that is unique in the world for its important collections of antiquities and centuries-old history. The original nucleus of the collection contains a beautiful collection of ancient bronzes, donated to the Roman people by Pope Sixtus IV in 1471, which includes the famous Capitoline Wolf (the famous moment in mythology of the founding of Rome) and the equestrian statue of Marco Aurelio (one of the last “good emperors”). Other highlights include Bernini’s Medusa, the Hall of Philosopher’s, the Hall of Emperors, the Capitoline Venus, and a hidden backside view of the Roman Forum.
